{"id":7408,"date":"2022-02-24T04:28:16","date_gmt":"2022-02-24T09:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iridian.ca\/?p=7408"},"modified":"2022-02-24T04:29:46","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T09:29:46","slug":"filter-processing-technologist-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iridian.ca\/zh-hans\/careers\/filter-processing-technologist-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Filter Processing Technologist"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"i4c-draggable-container\" style=\"position: fixed; z-index: 1499; width: 0px; height: 0px;\">\r\n<div class=\"resolved\" style=\"all: initial;\" data-reactroot=\"\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Department: <\/strong>Filter Processing<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Ottawa, Ontario<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Reporting: <\/strong>Filter Processing Manager<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Summary statement<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The primary role of the Filter Processing Technologist is to perform measurements and analyses and to make decision based on these in the pursuit of filter processing.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Major Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Performing complex and special measurements on post coating products.<\/li>\r\n<li>Performing product reliability testing of first articles and new processes and performing first article compliance checks.<\/li>\r\n<li>Advise other employees on proper procedures.<\/li>\r\n<li>Launching of work in progress by making decisions on the viability of the product to progress through to the next phase of processing.<\/li>\r\n<li>Determining annealing curves based on specifications.<\/li>\r\n<li>Loading of automated systems.<\/li>\r\n<li>Performing optical and visual inspections to ensure quality based on specifications.<\/li>\r\n<li>Preparing reports and data entry as required.<\/li>\r\n<li>May require liaising with Engineers, R&amp;D personnel and Production supervisors on the operations, outcomes and documentation.<\/li>\r\n<li>Follows safety procedures as set out in the Health and Safety policy and internal trainings<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>All other assigned duties.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Graduation from a Community College in Technology or the equivalent.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated hands-on abilities with or knowledge of Optics.<\/li>\r\n<li>Familiarity with computers and software control.<\/li>\r\n<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.<\/li>\r\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively.<\/li>\r\n<li>Ability to make decisions using good judgment while lacking complete information.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Working Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>This position involves significant responsibility and requires independent decision making.<\/li>\r\n<li>May be exposed to controlled substances.<\/li>\r\n<li>This position requires working on rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekend shifts.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Type of Supervision Received <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Task assignment is given by the Production Supervisor or shift lead, priorities on how to carry out the task assignments may be set by the incumbent.
